The restoration of Raphael's Madonna of the Goldfinch
February 13th, 2009 | by Benedict |It 'finished the restoration of the Madonna of the Goldfinch, Raphael's masterpiece, which has long been under study at the Laboratory Opificio delle Pietre Dure.
The painting hosted by the Uffizi Gallery in Florence was built, at a young age, by Raphael for the marriage of Lorenzo Nasi about 1506. A video allows you to retrace the steps of the restoration.
