Velia Theatre 2009 - Review of classical theater
July 14th, 2009 | by Joseph C. |Every year in summer, at the Archaeological Site of Elea-Velia (SA) plays the comic and tragic event on the expression of the ancient theater "Teatro Velia." The 2009 edition is the twelfth, ten appointments during the month of August. Reenact the classic plays of the classic places, this is the purpose of the Festival.
Four outfits drawn from the Dialogues of Plato and a host of new representations created and directed by Fiorenza Brogi and Bob Marquis with the translation of Professor Giuseppe Changing.
Of particular note is the show's August 10 "The villa of mysteries": a staging of the famous frescoes of Pompeian villa, national premiere.
All shows start at 21:00.
