Portrait of Leonardo '600 discovered in Basilicata
February 18th, 2009 | by Benedict |In Basilicata, in the small town of Acerenza has been discovered that seems to reproduce a painting by Leonardo da Vinci, it is an oil on panel 60 x 44 cm.
The exceptional discovery is due to a scholar of medieval history Nicola Barbatelli, that is to be credited with having found a "new" whose value would be invaluable, if the research they confirmed rumors first.
Its date is uncertain, there has also pushed to speculate the possibility that it is a work of "genius" of Vinci, but the studies are just starting out.
Indeed, the painting was entrusted to Alessandro Vezzosi, director of the Museo Ideale Leonardo da Vinci, who announced the successful discovery and will handle the exposure, the same student will research concerning the identification.

Leonardo in Naples (02/20/2009 09:46) That face, as he said prof. Whimsical, Leonardo should not be so much so that even the design of Turin is now trusted to the character of Leonardo. The important thing is that instead emerged from the transmission LineaNotte TG3 is the need to deepen the knowledge of Leonardo dell'ipotizzato traveling in Campania. The prof. Solari raves ...
When the painting was presented during the night by Prof. TG3 line Vezzosi, the discoverer of the portrait dr. Barbatelli, and a member of the Research Committee, Professor. Solar declare 'publicly that the face depicted in the work WAS NOT THE PORTRAIT OF LEONARDO, what is the law in its various interventions in some forums on the web.
Now after a few months not only recognizes the human product in the painting the face of Leonardo Da Vinci, but even invents a meeting between the genius of Vinci and Durer ... He continues with his imagination and tells of a meeting between Leonardo and Pacioli (never happened) and finally a trip to southern Italy Leonardo!
Sure of his fantastic interpretations of history, Solari exceeds up to assume an exchange of faces, gifts, favors, and if anything poker games ...
Solar wrote without realizing that history is not made of fantasy, neglecting the most elementary knowledge of life and mind of Leonardo.
Of course who is the author of the Acerenza for now is not certain but I think it's really difficult to argue a different hand from that of Leonardo, so let scholars (real ones) operate data in hand and without any prejudice.

, There is a suspicion that even touches scam naive, perhaps endorsed the shadow of that worthy company of the Templars (but not for so many years ago, today those who enroll by paying an annual fee to be allowed a couple of times a year to dress up as priests and bring plastic swords adorned with huge plastic smeraldoni and other gems) ...: -)

Since all the characters involved are so high profile that qualifies them as researchers and scholars of international reputation
The discoverers have argued that the true objective of the operation is to promote tourism to the small villages of Basilicata. but at this point it was better to focus on religious and bring up Madonna!
