Reopen the restaurant in the excavations of Pompeii

The restaurant, managed by the company Autogrill SpA, has returned to occupy the premises facing the "House of Bacchus", north of the Civil Forum. The service, which is essential for the more than two million tourists visit Pompeii each year, will help ensure not only local employment but also substantial financial resources which verrranno used for interventions for safety and enhancement of the excavations. It is estimated that the activity of the refreshment point lead into the coffers of the Archaeological Superintendence of Pompeii, Naples and about 34,500 euros a month, for a total of nearly $ 2.5 million in six years.

According to the Deputy Commissioner for the archaeological area of Naples and Pompeii, Marcello Flowers, "the degradation and abuse, as evidenced by this story, can and must be defeated. Difficult situations are fought by promoting the launch of virtuous economic processes, raising the quality of services and a stronger pact between the state and law firms. " The opening of the restaurant has been an objective qualification of the site wanted to own the management commissioner. "Furthermore, - concluded the Commissioner Flowers - synergy with Autogrill will cover the supply of quality food products of the Campania Region and the promotion of the site of Pompeii in over 5500 stores located in 43 countries around the world."
