Pompeii: the House of Julius Polybius open and the site of the Chaste Lovers

The "rehearsal" of the opening there had been during the twelfth week of culture, in April. Week during which, in exceptional cases had been opened to the public, the House of Julius Polybius and the site of the Chaste Lovers.

From today, June 1, the two houses re-open permanently.

A visit to the House of Julius Polybius multisensory and a visit to the archaeological work in the yard of the Chaste Lovers. The hologram of Julius Polybius accompany visitors in the rooms of his house. On the way visit, which lasts about an hour, you will also see the video in 3d showing the digital restoration of the frescoes, the virtual reconstruction of the dwelling, the animation of the eruption; also involved with the hearing 'sound installation Royal Opera IX.

The suspended walkways in the House of the Chaste Lovers will, instead, to visit the rooms watching the archaeologists and restorers at work.

The tours run every day from 10:00 to 18:00 but must be booked and need an additional ticket (5 € for each visit, 7 € for the visit of both cumulative domus).
