Bondi sensational letter from the Minister: "Artists, which beggars"

November 14th, 2009 | by Jacob Benedict |

The Minister for Arts and Culture Sandro Bondi has sent the day of 13 November, a letter to The Gazette. In the letter, the Minister said the meeting took place between a delegation of artists and the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano.

In the words of the Minister has stated a clear distaste for the conduct of actors and singers such as Giovanna Mezzogiorno and Massimo Ranieri on that day. They angered the Minister particularly the ways "flattering" of artists, culminating in the acknowledgments that the actress has made to the Head of State and in the poetry of Garcia Lorca read by Ranieri.

The exact words written by the Minister in reference to that passage: "Before all that genuflecting and bowing of actors and actresses, artists and actors, directors and actors, singers and songwriters, I almost felt sorry to have laws that are not expected will contain more lay prone, servitude, begging the political artist. "These are the facts, and these facts very displeasing to tell the truth. It 'a rare thing that a Minister of Culture is cast against a group of artists with such vehemence and verbal violence: "But I am in the eyes of the many artists and prone slave read only scorn and derision to those who - like me - sincerely believes in the value of culture and tries to do something concrete in favor of men of culture. "

This statement seems very unlikely, when the actions of a government that has cut the culture like few others. And mind you that this preparation is not an attempt to bait the art against art: "I'm almost sorry I should have reinstated the FUS, rather than allocating these funds to the historical heritage". We can not justify declaring a kind of either-or, according to which one must believe that things should work for strength in this way: the money this year than they were and went to the movies and music!

Money is just a few, very few indeed, why do not you believe in Cultural Heritage. Because it is so blind as to think that a long narrow peninsula is the ideal place to do great industrial districts rather than being a tourist destination par excellence of the entire planet Earth.

We're a good rationalization of resources, but once you reach that goal that was set aside to be reinvested in the same compartment, ie the Cultural Heritage.

Sorry that the Minister is concerned about rail against actors and singers rather than run with them and with archaeologists, restorers and operators of cultural, tourist guides, tour guides, employees of the ministry, graduating, etc.. Etc.. etc.. and join forces for a common interest is to raise the cultural heritage in Italy.

And 'vain and sterile, in bad taste and add the letter to The Gazette by the Minister, is the harshness of its policy that the Minister seems to despise himself. By the way, let us go a step on the merits of such power deficita invective certainly consistent, because you can not throw against the "red flags", if you entered politics as mayor of Fivizzano (Massa Carrara) PCI elected from the lists in 1990.

But this concerns us little or nothing, what matters is the practical actions that offer rapid changes towards a revival of Cultural Activities.

We would like to see our minister around the world to promote our culture and perhaps to do much more with Minister Tremonti for brooches something more for our loved archeology, rather than have to write letters against the artists. Honestly, it seems to us a war between the poor.

Long live the archeology and every desperate "follower."
