Archaeology and nature in the Bay of Naples
April 3rd, 2009 | by Joseph C. | The "Archaeology and nature in the Bay of Naples" is part of the initiatives of the second of six trips sponsored by the Tourism and Cultural Heritage : A Journey in the Emotions.
This morning in the National Museum of Naples, in the presence of the Superintendent for Cultural Heritage of Napoi and Pompeii, Pier Giovanni Guzzo, were presented the ten archaeological sites under the program: from the Phlegraean to Capri, Naples and through Pompeii (from April 4 to June 2).
The first path was the inaugural visit to the archaeological complex of Pausyllypon returned to the public after about a year and a half of restoration. After visiting the theaters and the villa of Pollio Vedio, actress Cristina Donadio had read some classic songs and a re-reading the Iliad by Homer Baricco. This event is not isolated, in fact, thanks to collaboration with the Teatro Stabile Mercandante, every Saturday in April and May, will offer visitors an actor reading of famous classical pieces and romance.
In addition to other sites concerned will Pausyllypon Cuma, the Serapeum of Pozzuoli, the Castle of Baia, Herculaneum, Oplontis, Pompeii, of Punta Campanella, and Villa Jovis and Villa Capri Damecuta.
