Aquileia from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 July, the magnificent Basilica of the Patriarchs will be the backdrop to the first edition of 'AQUILEIA FILM FESTIVAL - International Review of Aquileia archaeological cinema organized by the Foundation in collaboration with Viva and the Archeology Review / Civic Museum of Rovereto.

At the opening night will be special guest Valerio Massimo Manfredi, archaeologist, writer and television face of La7, where he successfully conducted the program "Stargate - the boundary line" and continues to lead "Empire". It is the most widely read Italian author in the world in the last ten years, with over 10 million copies sold, after the great success of editorial and public trilogy "Alexandros" dedicated to Alexander the Great.

Every evening, from 21.00, the screening of two documentary film production with an international voice-over in Italian, which will range from the mysteries of the Pyramid of Cheops to the ancient Greek myths, the secrets of the Parthenon to the slopes of the salt in Danakil . The public will be invited every night to fill the ballot papers and the movies that have been getting more acclaim will receive, at the end of the third evening, the prize Aquileia, a reproduction of the mosaic tribute Mosaic School of Friuli.

Admission is free. All performances will take place outdoors in the beautiful setting of Piazza Chapter, while in case of rain, screenings will take place in the adjacent Sala Romana.
